Some artists make music. Others build worlds. Tackendo belongs firmly in the second category — a DJ producer who has turned his extraordinary double life between Paris and Tokyo into something you can actually feel through your speakers.
East Meets West on the Dancefloor
Born in the vibrant landscapes of Northern France and now splitting his time between the chic boulevards of the French capital and the neon-drenched future of Tokyo, Tackendo has carved out a sound that feels genuinely unlike anything else in the electronic space right now. His music doesn't just reference Japanese culture as an aesthetic shortcut — it breathes it. From the meditative stillness of a Kyoto temple to the electric, overwhelming rush of Shibuya Crossing, every track carries a geography, a feeling of place.
The Tracks Doing the Talking
His catalogue already hints at the range this producer is capable of. "Sur Mon Île de Beauté" — available in both its original form and a sprawling Corsica Extended Mix — wraps warm, sun-soaked emotion around a propulsive electronic backbone. It's the kind of track that works equally well at golden hour on a terrace or deep into a late-night set. Then there's "Laï Laï Laï (EDM Oriental Mix)", which leans boldly into the East-West collision his biography promises, threading melodic Eastern motifs through driving dancefloor architecture. "FBI Desk" offers something cooler, more cinematic, while "Gimme a Piece of Licorice" suggests a producer unafraid of personality and a little playful swagger.
An Underground Discovery Worth Making
With radio programmers beginning to take notice — his tracks have already landed placements across the platform — Tackendo represents exactly the kind of under-the-radar artist that dedicated electronic music listeners live to discover first. His Spotify following is still small, which means right now, you have the rare pleasure of getting in early.
In a genre that can sometimes feel oversaturated, Tackendo is doing something quietly radical: making electronic music that has a passport, a cultural story, and an unmistakable soul. Hit play. Then hit play again.
