Before most musicians have played their first paying gig, Manny was already performing as a drummer and timbale player on San Juan's prestigious Show de Vigoreaux, one of Puerto Rico's most beloved variety television programs. That early spotlight launched him into orbit alongside Latin music royalty — sharing stages with Richie Ray, Willie Colon, and Babo Jimenez, names that still command reverence across the genre.

His journey didn't stop at the island's shores. As leader of both the U.S. Navy Steel Band and the world-traveled U.S. Navy Show Band, Manny carried the pulse of Latin music to concert halls and festival grounds across South America, West Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe. He has performed for dignitaries and danced-out crowds alike — always with the same infectious, grounded authority that defines his playing.

The San Diego Sessions

Today, Manny calls San Diego, California home, where he leads his own salsa band and continues composing and arranging Latin jazz for prominent musicians in New York, San Diego, and Puerto Rico. His craft bridges generations and geography, threading the sounds of the Caribbean through the laid-back warmth of Southern California.
